The William S. Baer School Partnership Board
The William S. Baer School Partnership Board was established in 1994, acting as a separate 501(c)3 non-profit organization that assists the school in serving its students and community. The Board's membership consists of leaders in Baltimore businesses, community initiatives, and education. The mission of the Board is to raise additional funds to support the special needs of our students and to organize volunteer initiatives for the school.
All money raised by the Partnership Board goes directly to meeting the therapeutic needs of the children. Since inception, the board has raised millions in private funding for The Baer School.
Partnership Initiatives
Past Board-sponsored projects have included:

Specialized therapeutic and mobility equipment for students of all ages

Playground and outdoor renovations

Baer School Music Garden

On-site therapeutic swimming pool

Assistive technology for classrooms

State-of-the-art kitchen named "Dot’s Cucina"

Upgraded HVAC and temperature control for every classroom and school office

Accessible restroom upgrades and renovations

Class trips where children can practice life skills firsthand in real-life settings such as: shopping centers, stores, and rides on public transportation. These trips supplement the skills and concepts of Baer’s Life Skills-based curriculum.
Working collaboratively, the Baer School’s public and private partnerships succeed because our focus remains on enriching the lives of Baer's students, our families, and the greater Baltimore community.
